The latest great Gophers point guard signed a training camp deal with the Lynx, the team announced Thursday.
Minnesota also signed Liatu King, Ra Shaya Kyle, Jade Masogayo, Saylor Poffenbarger and Sakima Walker to training camp contracts.
Battle averaged 11.1 points and 7.5 rebounds at 5-foot-11 as a senior, while leading the Gophers to their first Sweet 16 appearance since 2005. It was Battle who hit the iconic game winner at the buzzer for Minnesota to topple Ole Miss in the Round of 32.
Battle finished the 2025-26 NCAA campaign as one of two active players with more than 1,530 career points, 775 rebounds and 595 assists. The other? Olivia Miles, the Minnesota Lynxâs No. 2 overall draft pick.
The Hopkins high school alum will go to training camp to fight for a point guard depth spot behind Miles. Sheâll have at least one strong advocate in her corner in her pursuit to make the final roster â Lynx assistant coach Lindsay Whalen, who recruited Battle to Minnesota during her time as Gophers head coach, and coached the guard during her freshman campaign.
