Manchester United is intensifying its interest in winger Maghnes Akliouche following a change in management and formation. The team is currently positioned third in the league.
Maghnes Akliouche: Man United step up interest in technical winger
The sacking of former head coach Ruben Amorim has led to a change of fortune in the league, as the Red Devils are now third.
Since January, the club have also changed formation, reverting to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
Last summer, they let go of three wingers: Alejandro Garnacho and Antony permanently, and Marcus Rashford on loan, as Amorimâs system did not make use of traditional wide players.
Nonetheless, Michael Carrickâs system does, and it seems likely any new manager would also do the same.
The Red Devils have therefore been linked to players such as Newcastle Unitedâs Antony Gordon, Evertonâs Iliman Ndiaye, and Ivorian Yan Diomande at Red Bull Leipzig.
Manchester United is interested in Maghnes Akliouche due to his technical skills and the team's need for wingers after changing their formation.
