Newcastle are willing to explore a move for Liam Delap this summer, but Chelsea insist he’s not for sale according to reports.

The Blues fought off interest from a number of Premier League clubs last summer to sign Delap from Ipswich in a deal worth £30m.
However, Delap has really struggled this season, and has managed just two goals in 38 appearances in all competitions, with only one of those in the league.
Delap has provided no competition for Joao Pedro, and the Brazilian has had a successful first season scoring 15 league goals so far.
The 23-year-old hasn’t been helped by injury issues, but when he has played he’s simply not delivered to anywhere near the standard required or expected.
Delap hasn’t scored since the 2-1 defeat to Fulham in January, a run stretching over 20 matches, with his other goal coming in the 3-0 win against Barcelona in November.
Given his struggles Delap has been linked with a move Everton, and have reported he’s a striker Newcastle would be willing to explore a move for.

The report adds Chelsea insist he’s not for sale and doesn’t want to leave the club, but their stance could change once they enter the market.
