One of the main venues at this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow will re-open to the public from Thursday.
The main pool at Glasgow Club Tollcross has been partly closed since last year to allow redevelopment work to take place ahead of it being used for events at the Games in July and August.
The work included re-tiling the main pool, refurbishing the pool filtration system and improving seats, lights and the video board, helping bring the pool back to what Games organisers called "international standard".
The pool was a key venue the last time the Games were held in the city, in 2014, with home swimmers Ross Murdoch and Hannah Miley winning gold medals there.
Funding for the pool came via £2.9m from Glasgow Life and Glasgow City Council, with an additional £850,000 being drawn from the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games venue readiness fund.
Duncan Scott OBE, a multi-time Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games medallist, was on hand for the pool re-opening.
He said: "High quality local swimming facilities like this are vital – not just for elite athletes, but for grassroots participation, community health and inspiring the next generation.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing Tollcross back in full use and to experiencing the incredible atmosphere here this summer. This is something fans won't want to miss, and I can't wait to hear the home crowd cheering us on here in Glasgow."
The pool first opened in 1997 and has since hosted a number of major competitions.
