One of the most popular connections in expert mock drafts has been Makai Lemon to the Los Angeles Rams at No. 13 overall. It's not hard to see why. He's a tough player who fills a need at wide receiver and he's local to L.A. after playing at USC.
The Rams reportedly love him, and the feeling is seemingly mutual. In an interview with the New York Post ahead of Thursday night's draft, Lemon talked about how he would be a great fit with the Rams, bringing his skill set to Sean McVay's offense.
“I feel like it’d be a perfect fit, definitely,” Lemon said. “Just adding my play style, adding what I can do to the team.”
The possibility of playing alongside and learning from Puka Nacua and Davante Adams isn't bad, either.
“Just learning from them guys,” Lemon added. “They’ve had so much production and been in the league and seen so much and done so much. So, to be alongside them would mean a lot.”
Additionally, NFL Network's Bridget Condon reported this week that Lemon “loves the Rams, their coaches, and Matthew Stafford, and he would love to be in L.A."
We'll see tonight whether this match comes true, because as of now, it seems like a great fit for both parties.
