The Utah Mammoth announced today the signing of forward Yegor Borikov to a three-year entry-level contract, which will begin at the start of the 2026–27 season.
“We are very pleased to sign Yegor to his entry-level contract,” said Bill Armstrong, general manager of the Utah Mammoth. “Yegor is a strong two-way winger with offensive upside who had a very productive year in the KHL. We look forward to continuing to watch his development.”
Borikov, 20, is coming off a breakout season with Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), where he recorded 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points in 59 regular-season games in 2025–26, finishing with a +6 rating. All three marks represented new career highs. He also brought a noticeable physical presence, finishing second on the team with 78 hits while ranking sixth in goals, fourth in game-winning goals (4), and emerging as one of Minsk’s most reliable young forwards.
In the playoffs, Borikov added two goals in seven games with Dinamo Minsk before finishing the postseason on loan with Metallurg Zhlobin in the Belarusian Extraleague. There, he made an immediate impact, posting 2 goals and 6 assists in just four playoff games to help lead the club to its third league title in five seasons.
Across three KHL seasons with Dinamo Minsk, the 6-foot-1, 187-pound winger appeared in 167 career games, totaling 33 goals and 30 assists for 63 points, along with a +24 rating. In 18 career playoff appearances, he recorded 10 points (9 goals, 1 assist), including a standout 2025 postseason where he scored seven goals in 11 games—tying Evgeny Kuznetsov’s record for the most goals in a single playoff run by a player age 20 or younger.
Before turning pro full-time, Borikov spent time in the MHL with Dinamo-Shinnik Bobruysk, where he posted 12 goals and 12 assists in 50 games. He also added 3 goals and 6 assists in 12 postseason appearances with Metallurg Zhlobin’s junior program, helping capture Belarusian Extraleague championships in 2023 and 2026.
Selected by Utah in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft, Borikov now officially joins the organization as one of its promising young forward prospects with a developing two-way game and growing offensive ceiling.
