On Tuesday, the Premier League announced that Unitedās final home match of the season, against Forest, is still subject to change.
United are set to take on Forest on the penultimate weekend of the season but a date will only be confirmed after Pereiraās side have played their Europa League semi-final tie against Aston Villa.
The Europa League final is in Istanbul on Wednesday, May 20, so the Premier League is doing whichever side qualifies a favour by moving their game to Friday night to give them extra time to get ready. The issue is that fans have no idea when the games will be played, which brings about logistical problems.
United confirm that no games can be played on Saturday, May 16, due to the Emirates FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester City at Wembley.
Due to this, United vs. Forest has been pencilled in for Sunday 17 May, a 12:30 BST kick-off. It will be shown live on Sky Sports. But this will only take place if Forest donāt reach the Europa League final. If they beat Villa over two legs, the Old Trafford game will instead be played on Friday, May 15, with a 20:00 BST kick-off.
Since the second leg of Forestās semi-final tie vs. Villa doesnāt happen until Thursday, May 7, fans will have just over a weekās notice of a date and time for the final Old Trafford game of the 2025/26 season.
Meanwhile, United are next in action on Sunday when they host bitter rivals Liverpool.
