Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona.

The Catalan club can trigger his £26 million buy-out clause this summer, but they are reportedly seeking another loan transfer.

Barcelona have put this proposal to United, who are considering whether or not to agree to a second loan deal, per the Mirror.

The Red Devils are desperate to reduce their wage bill, and Rashford’s salary will go back up to £315,000-a-week if the club secure Champions League qualification.

Michael Carrick’s side are on the brink of qualifying for Europe following their 1-0 victory at Chelsea on Sunday.

They are currently third in the league standings, with eight points ahead of sixth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.

United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly not very keen to have Rashford back on the books.

Barca have been covering his wages, and the Premier League titans would want this to continue if they are to agree to another loan deal.

The England international has revived his career in Spain after falling out of favour with former United manager Ruben Amorim.

Rashford has scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions this season.
