Manchester City are in pole position to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder and Manchester United target Elliot Anderson this summer, according to Sky Sports. Man United want to strengthen in the middle of the park at the Old Trafford club and the England international has been identified as a top target. However, it appears he is destined for the Etihad Stadium club and the Red Devils will have to start looking at their other targets in the position before it gets too late. Anderson is currently focussed on getting Forest to safety as they remain in the relegation battle heading into the final five league fixtures of the season.

Man United will continue monitoring the situation as Man City are yet to wrap up any deal despite emerging as favourites. The Red Devils have also been recently linked with interest in West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes, and more players are expected to emerge on their radar in the coming weeks.
