Manchester United have announced their summer friendlies for the 2026-27 pre-season schedule.
The Red Devils will play friendlies in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Republic of Ireland. Another fixture in Poland will likely be announced in the coming weeks.
Aside from 2020 and 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic prevented clubs from overseas travel, United have left Europe every summer since 2002, mostly on tours to the United States and Asia.
But the Premier League giants have confirmed they will remain in Europe for their 2026-27 pre-season fixtures.
The 2026 World Cup is happening this summer, and the club want to reduce travel for a squad that will already be missing several key stars.
United will play their first pre-season friendly against Wrexham in Helsinki on July 18.
They will return to action the following week in Trondheim when they take on Rosenborg, who compete in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
United will have most of their big names back by August when they face two challenging fixtures in Sweden.
They are set to clash Atletico Madrid on August 1 before going head-to-head with Paris Saint-Germain on August 8.
United will lock horns with Leeds United in Dublin on August 12, before concluding their pre-season schedule with a friendly against AC Milan on August 15.
