Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu set to be back in the squad against Brentford tonight
Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu is set to be back in the Red Devils squad to play against Brentford at Old Trafford tonight, according to reports. The Man United star has been unavailable for selection since January after an injury in the league game at Arsenal. The Red Devils were targeting the Liverpool game on Sunday as the return game for the Dorgu, but he has handed manager Michael Carrick a huge boost and could be featuring tonight.
The Denmark international trained with the Man United team yesterday alongside Leny Yoro, and the Frenchman could also be available for selection tonight. Dorgu has missed the last ten Premier League games, and while the club have done well in his absence, losing just two of those fixtures, having him back with the team is a much-needed boost. The left-back featured as a left winger in his last two appearances, scoring in both games, and Carrick could be eager to throw him back into action.
It remains to be seen whether the Man United boss will be starting the 21-year-old against the Bees, but he is likely to be introduced in the second-half if need be.
