Into the June 6 event steps John Yannis, replacing the injured Jakub Wiklacz, for a bantamweight fight at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
McGhee (10-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) has not competed since a July unanimous decision loss to Petr Yan, who went on to claim bantamweight gold in the months that followed. Prior to that loss, McGhee had not lost in the promotion. He holds UFC wins over Journey Newson, JP Buys, Gaston Bolanos, and Jonathan Martinez.
Yannis (10-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) picked up his first UFC win April 18 when he demolished promotional debut Jamie Siraj with a first-round knockout in Winnipeg, Canada. The victory bounced back Yannis, a former Fury FC champion, from a UFC debut loss to Austin Bashi.
