During his five major league seasons, Rodriguez consistently started slowly. As a 21-year-old rookie in 2022, he hit .205 and slugged zero home runs through the opening two months. In '24, he produced just three extra-base hits through April, delivering his second homer on May 12. Last season, he was hitting .221 through May.
Still, Rodriguez earned three All-Star Game appearances and twice posted 32-home run seasons.
