Matt Brash of the Seattle Mariners is set to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma after recovering from right lat inflammation that placed him on the 15-day injured list.

While it was safe to say that the Seattle Mariners didnât get off to the best start this season, certain players on their roster have managed to shine amid the cloud that had been over the team. One of those players was Matt Brash, who would be electric out of the bullpen for Seattle, managing to not allow a single run across the plate in his 11.1 innings of work through his 14 appearances.
Things were going great for the 28-year-old before it was announced that he would miss some time due to inflammation in his right lat, which would land him on the 15-day IL at the beginning of May.
This has meant that Seattle has been without their ace out of the bullpen for some time, but it appears that Brash will be making some significant progress in his rehab in the coming days.
As reported by MLB.comâs Daniel Kramer, the 28-year-old will begin his rehab assignment on Thursday night, which will be spent with the Marinersâ Triple-A affiliate, the Tacoma Rainiers.
If he is to make an appearance for the Rainiers, it will be Brashâs first time in the minors this season, which comes after a season in which he made six appearances for the Triple-A affiliate, posting an ERA of 8.44.
