Mark Andrews praised former Ravens coach John Harbaugh while expressing excitement for the team's future under new head coach Jesse Minter. He highlighted the positive energy and commitment of the new coaching staff as the team transitions.
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews opened his media availability this week by reflecting on his time under former head coach John Harbaugh while also expressing optimism about the direction of the team under new head coach Jesse Minter.
Andrews, drafted by Baltimore in 2018, has spent his entire NFL career with Harbaugh at the helm and made sure to acknowledge that relationship before turning his focus forward.
“I first want to just start off and say that I was blessed to be able to be drafted in 2018 and have Coach Harbaugh and be with him for these last eight years,” Andrews said. “I take incredible pride in the product that we put out and pride in just the man that he is. I’m incredibly grateful to him and this organization. And going forward from that, Coach Minter’s been awesome, and this whole coaching staff has been awesome. Just stepping in here, the energy — it feels really, really good. I’m excited about going forward, getting better and working towards our goal. These guys are fired up, so I’m excited about that.”
Andrews' comments reflect a transition period for Baltimore veterans, as the team moves forward under a new coaching staff while still carrying over a core group of long-tenured players.
