With the MLB season in full swing, we are getting closer and closer to the 2026 MLB Draft. It will take place in Philadelphia, July 11-13, this year.
The Chicago White Sox were awarded the first pick, and it's getting clearer and clearer that UCLA's Roch Cholowsky will be headed to the South Side.
However, the rest of the draft board is pretty open. And with a good amount of the high school and college season left, some could see their names rise, and others could see them fall, depending on how they close out the season.

For the Miami Marlins over the years, their first-round picks have been a mixed bag. They lean more toward taking the best available player than toward relying heavily on high school or college players.
One thing they do for certain is develop pitchers, and they could have the chance to take an elite arm in the first round. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter expects this to happen when they select Stoneman Douglas HS pitcher Gio Rojas.
"With a projectable 6'4", 190-pound frame, three quality pitches and advanced command, Rojas is widely regarded as the top prep arm in the 2026 class. He throws a ton of strikes and has clean mechanics on the mound thanks to his plus athleticism."
Stoneman Douglas is no stranger to producing MLB talent. Roman Anthony played there alongside a list that includes Anthony Rizzo and Jesus Luzardo.
Rojas has worked his way to being one of the top lefties in the entire class, high school, or college. He has a solid arsenal that he can continue to work on and commands the strike zone well.
He has all the makings to be a frontline starter in the big leagues.
The specific name of the South Florida prep arm has not been disclosed in the latest projections.
