Mason Miller is not the only Padres' reliever opposing batters should fear

Rodriguez signed as an international free agent in the winter ahead of the 2021 season. He missed the 2022 and 2023 seasons after undergoing Tommy John surgery, but got his first taste of big-league action late last season.

This year, he has been a force in the bullpen. He has appeared in 12 games, holding together a 1.88 ERA and 12 strikeouts on 14.1 innings of work.

Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly is more than impressed with the young right-hander, ranking him 11th in his latest rookie power rankings piece.

"The Padres didn't really need another elite reliever, but they may have one in Bradgley Rodriguez. While Mason Miller has understandably gotten most of the headlines regarding San Diego's bullpen, Rodriguez was worth mentioning here. Across his first 11 appearances of 2026, he has posted a 2.08 ERA. In 18 career MLB appearances, he has pitched to an impressive 2.55 FIP."

Rodriguez has stepped up greatly, and he has been a great addition to the bullpen after the club lost Robert Suarez over the winter. It's not just Miller opposing batters need to worry about here. Rodriguez is the real deal.
