The Masters 2026 features a record $22.5 million prize pool, with the winner receiving $4.5 million. Even players who missed the cut, like Michael Kim, will earn $25,000, prompting a humorous reaction from him on social media.
The Masters announced a record $22.5 million prize pool on Saturday with Sunday's winner set to take home $4.5 million. But anyone—besides the amateurs—who teed it up at Augusta National this week will make pretty darn good money. Even those who didn't make the cut.

One of those players is Michael Kim. The Golf Twitter favorite didn't have his best stuff this week, finishing eight over through two days to fail to qualify for the weekend. But he had a great reaction to a tweet from Sports Illustrated's Bob Harig that mentioned those missing the cut would still earn $25,000.
"Really? Nice!" Kim responded with a laughing emoji.
It's not as good as the $158,500 Kim earned last year for finishing T-27, but it sounds like he'll take it. Not too shabby for a couple days of work.
