Bayern Munich were too intense as they stunned VfB Stuttgart on Matchday 30 in a 4-2 victory. The Bavarians were caught napping a couple of times in what was otherwise a powerful performance to win their record 35th Bundesliga campaign. The Moroccan was constanly knocking on Bayern’s door every chance he got. He created two chances for his side and threatened Jonas Urbig thrice. His silky runs through the Bayern defense cut through the home side. He converted his successful dribbles with three passes into the final third and provided an assist.
Der Kaiser – Kim Min-jae
The Monster was once again a rock for the Rekordmeister. Bayern once again struggled to keep a clean sheet and the defense was porous on occasions. However, Kim excelled in his one on one battles. Winning four of five aerial duels and making eight clearances, Kim was vital in keep the door shut despite playing with a very high backline. His 96 percent passing rate from the back was once again nearly spotless.

The quality of Kimmich is often overwhelming for this category of match awards. The level of a regular Kimmich game is so high that even when he isn’t doing something spectacular, it still ends up being an award winning performance. He made the most passes in the game with an accuracy of 98 percent. One of the best features of his play is his verticality. The 31-year-old always looks to play forward and hunt for a goal with his team. 16 passes into final third combined with four chances created showed how dangerous and accurate Kimmich can be despite playing against compact formations.
Der Bomber – Jamal Musiala
The German wizard continued to regain his rhythm after returning from a major injury. While there is still some way to go before he finds his full form, the Moose was hard to handle for the visitors. Teams have taken to overloading the box to stop his dribbles. Until the rustiness from the recovery period completely wears off, this strategy will be successful against him. But, Musiala never stopped trying and was constantly making runs into the box to find openings. His shot making needs improvement, since he often gets into great positions but takes too long to shoot.
Meister of the Match – Luis Díaz
The Colombian was relentless once again. 90 minutes against Real Madrid in the midweek did not tire Lucho. He looked fresh and hassled Sebastian Hoeneß’s men for the entire first half. He could have added two goals to his two assists with more accurate and quicker shot making. If Lucho improves his shot accuracy, he could easily give Olise a run for his money as the best winger on the planet. That’s how brilliant he is in attack. His pace and physicality are unstoppable. Creating three chances for his team, two of which turned into goals, Díaz was the best Bayern player on the pitch today.
Honorable mentions
Harry Kane
The England captain continued his clinical run in front of goal with another beautiful finish. Tucking away the rebound from Goretzka’s shot, Kane added another goal to his record tally.
Michael Olise
The Frenchman was rested for the first half. However, he made his impact immediately with his presence. His curler that was headed away would have made for a scintillating 5th goal of the day.
Alphonso Davies
The Canadian got himself on the scoresheet. He is another player who is finding his rhythm and performances such as these just add the much needed confidence.
Raphael Guerreiro
Brilliant stuff from Rapha once again. Playing in the CAM position, his ability to keep the opposition busy while finding his teammates is underrated. His goal came from a composed finish as compared to Jackson’s frantic footwork in the previous attempts.
