After three innings of work for Fried against the Orioles, he exited the game with the broadcast citing an apparent injury. It was later determined to be "left elbow posterior soreness."
Through three innings of pitching, Fried threw 61 pitches and gave up five hits and three runs, while striking out two batters. The Yankees had not scored during the time he was in the game.
