Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé missed training on Sunday ahead of the midweek Champions League quarter-final second leg at Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old needed stitches in his right eyebrow following an injury in Friday's 1-1 La Liga draw with Girona.
Mbappé was unable to "go out on to the pitch due to discomfort" on Sunday, the Spanish club said in a statement, adding it was "a precautionary measure."
Madrid visit Munich on Wednesday trailing 2-1 from the first leg.
