But, at No. 27 overall after a minor trade-up with the San Francisco 49ers, the Dolphins drafted Chris Johnson, the San Diego State cornerback.
That's a familiar name for NFL fans, as Chris Johnson is also the name of a legendary running back who played for the Tennessee Titans for a while.

Johnson, the San Diego State cornerback, is not related to the former Titans running back. The 6-foot-0, 193-pound cornerback ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash at this year's NFL Combine.
While not quite the same speed as the former running back, who had a 4.24-second 40-yard dash back in 2008, Johnson is still fast.

Miami is adding a new cornerback, a position they very badly needed coming into the draft. He's a great option for the Dolphins' secondary.
Last year for San Diego State, Johnson recorded four interceptions, with two being pick-sixes. He also had one sack, nine pass breakups, three tackles for loss, and 49 total tackles.
While it would be fitting for Chris Johnson to be related to the former Titans running back, the Dolphins' new corner and the former Titans running back are not related.
The former Titans running back is only 40 years old, so the new Dolphins cornerback isn't his son. But, they're not related to each other at all, as the new Dolphins corner has no relation to the former speedy Titans RB.
