Mets fans won't like seeing where their team sits in latest power rankings

Last week was not too kind to the Mets. They were on a five-game losing streak, thanks to being swept by the Athletics, and faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

They would go on to lose all three games, being outscored 14-3, and it didn't get easier in their next series against the Chicago Cubs. They would be swept again, making it an 11-game losing streak.

And with how they have performed over the last week plus a few days, they've fallen pretty far down in the latest power rankings. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter tags them as the worst team in baseball right now.

"The Mets have been outscored 62-19 during their current 11-game losing streak. Go ahead and read that again, just to make sure it lands. Juan Soto has been sidelined with a calf strain for the entirety of that skid, but one missing star that shouldn't mean the wheels fall off and the train derails."

Even with the club missing Soto, they shouldn't be struggling this badly. They have the star power to make it through injuries, or so it seemed.

The Mets currently sit alone at the bottom of the NL East, and something will need to change fast, or they could be there all season long.
