He was selected with the 130th overall pick, which was part of the deal that sent Jaylen Waddle to Denver.
Moore appeared in 12 games last season, starting five. He had 35 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks and three pass break-ups. Despite being a backup, he was a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, also known as the Academic Heisman.
Moore started all 16 games in 2024 and also had 35 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
At Texas-San Antonio in 2023, he was Conference USA defensive player of the year with 14 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss.
NFL.com's Lance Zierlein wrote, "Moore is a highly productive, 46-game starter with flexible NFL positioning. He’s undersized and lacks NFL length as an edge defender, but he’s a skilled, instinctive rusher with a robust set of approaches. He won’t burn the edges with pure speed but he compensates for that with a deep bag of moves. In limited snaps, Moore showed potential at off-ball linebacker, but questions persist about his pursuit speed and ability to cover in the NFL. Some teams might label him a “tweener,” but I see a versatile prospect whose competitiveness and feel for the game should allow him to translate no matter the position he plays."
