The Miami Dolphins selected offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor with the 12th overall pick after trading down from No. 11. Proctor, from Alabama, is expected to make an impact on the team's offensive line.
The Miami Dolphins were expected to make their first pick at No. 11 overall in the first round, but after making a trade with the Dallas Cowboys, they slid down to No. 12 and picked up two additional Day-3 picks.
With pick No. 12, Miami took Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor.
Before Proctor steps on the practice field for the first time with the Dolphins, here are a few things that fans should know about him.
The offensive tackle attended Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, where he was a five-star recruit and the top offensive lineman in his graduating class. He even received the Anthony Munoz award in his senior season, which is given to the best high school lineman in the country.
After committing to Alabama, Proctor started 39 games for the Crimson Tide at left tackle. He earned All-SEC honors twice and All-American honors once. He was also named the best blocker in the SEC in 2025. Proctor also briefly transferred to Iowa, but he returned to Alabama before ever playing a game for the Hawkeyes.
At the combine, Proctor measured in at 6-foot-6 and 352 pounds. He ran a 5.21-second 40-yard dash and recorded a 32.5-inch vertical jump and a 109-inch broad jump. He also put up 25 reps on the bench.
The broadcast during the draft brought up the concerns about his weight throughout his time at Alabama. If the Dolphins can't keep him in shape, he could be a bust, but if he works as hard as he says he will, he could be an All-Pro annually.
