Micah Huff presents a seven-round mock NFL draft for 2026, projecting USC Trojans' prospects. Notably, he predicts Makai Lemon to be selected 13th overall by the Los Angeles Rams.
Until next Thursday, mock NFL drafts will continue to flood the internet. Many experts and analysts will provide their predictions. We are waiting to see which experts got it wrong, and why. That is what makes the NFL draft a spectacle; even if a player seems like a sure thing, it is never a guarantee. Now it is my time to take a swing at projecting the landing spots for each of the USC Trojan prospects.
Here is my NFL mock draft and projection for where all the USC Trojans will land:
Makai, even after being named the best receiver in college football and having the numbers to back up what type of player he can be in the NFL, is still getting overlooked. There shouldn't be a doubt that he is the best receiver in this class. If he lands with the Rams, there will be no doubt who the best receiver in this draft class is. His skillset would be maximized at its fullest potential with a team like the Rams, who have shown they know exactly how to use receivers. In LA, Sean Mcvay would not have him solely lined up in the slot. Matthew Stafford has played a part in the best receiver seasons in the NFL. I think Lemon would dominate in LA. Even with a crowded receiver room, I think he could be an offensive rookie of the year favorite with the Rams.
The Chiefs lost multiple key players in their secondary. I believe they will look to address the back end in the draft. Kamari Ramsey fits the mold for a Steve Spagnuolo defense, and I think he will thrive in a culture like . The Chiefs have done a great job developing talent. I think Ramsey would be at his best in a winning organization like the Chiefs. Would not be surprised if he ended up starting early if they select him in the draft with his great intangibles.
Makai Lemon is projected to be the first USC player selected, expected to go 13th overall to the Los Angeles Rams.
Makai Lemon is considered the best receiver in college football due to his impressive performance and skillset, which could be maximized with the Rams.
Sean McVay's coaching style is expected to fully utilize Makai Lemon's skills, allowing him to excel beyond just a slot receiver role.
Makai Lemon could be a strong candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year if he joins the Rams, given their history of developing top receivers.

Malik Willis is looking to prove he can be the Dolphins' long-term guy, and with the contract they gave him this offseason, it looms like they are confident he can be. The next step for them is to get him some weapons. More than likely, they will draft a receiver in round 1, but in round 3, a potential stud could fall to them in Ja'Kobi Lane. Ja'Kobi Lane can make every catch, and he has an abundance of talent that gives him a high ceiling of being a top receiver in this draft class when it is all said and done. I think if he lands in Miami, he could end up being Willis' favorite target.
Anthony Lucas, although his production did not match what his potential can be last season, still he has the size and traits that make him an attractive prospect. Vic Fangio has been developing defensive talent for a long time. He is the perfect coach to maximize Lucas's potential and turn him into a viable defensive lineman. Howie Roseman has an eye for talent, and I would not be surprised if he looks Lucas's way.
The Broncos' defense is one of the best in the NFL already, and their secondary is elite. One position where they need depth is the safety position. This is a great landing spot for Fitzgerald, seeing the success he had last year with Doug Belk, the Broncos new safeties and corners coach. It would be cool to see the Broncos have two former Trojan safeties playing alongside each other as well, with Talanoa Hufanga already there dominating.
So far, taking USC Trojans has seemed to be a smart move for the Texans. Why not take one more shot? Demeco Ryans is a defensive guru who has had the Texans as a championship-level defense for the last few years. Eric Gentry would be a nice chess piece for Ryans to work with, and I think he is a great coach to develop Gentry. Gentry in the right situation can be a problem, and I think that could be Houston.
The Ravens lost Isaiah Likely this offseason, but they still have a weapon in Mark Andrews, who remains a top tight end in the NFL. The Ravens' new offensive coordinator, Declan Doyle, will more than likely want to run a lot of 12 and 13 personnel. That opens the door for a blocking tight end and a potential playmaker like Lake McRee to be on the Ravens' radar. I think McRee can be a great Charlie Kolar replacement and perfectly fit the culture Jessie Minter is trying to create.
