Michael Olise has been named FC Bayern Player of the Month for March after delivering standout performances, including two goals and an assist in the Champions League. His contributions have made him a key player for Bayern Munich this season.

Michael Olise named FC Bayern Player of the Month for March
In FC Bayern's Bundesliga encounter in March against Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-1) and in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Atalanta (4-1), the starting XI looked a little unusual: there was no Michael Olise. He was rested against the Foals and suspended against Atalanta after having picked up three yellow cards. Otherwise, the 24-year-old Frenchman has consistently been an integral part of Vincent Kompany's starting XI. Olise operates on the right wing with his refined technique, dangerous dribbling and inimitable assurance in possession.
In recent weeks, the left-footer has been something of a covert playmaker for the Munich men - and Olise has also consistently provided assists and scored goals. His impressive performances have now been acknowledged by Bayern fans with the France international being named FC Bayern Player of the Month for March.
In March, Olise shone in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 in Bergamo with two goals and an assist, so it came as no surprise that the dribbler was subsequently voted Man of the Match. "When you're at a club like Bayern, you want to win everything. That's our goal, of course," said Olise after the final whistle. No winger has racked up more goals and assists in the top 5 European leagues this season than the former Crystal Palace player.
Olise also added to his tally in the two Bundesliga games in March: at Leverkusen (1-1) he set up Luis DĂaz's goal in exemplary fashion, and in the home game against Union Berlin (4-0) he scored the opener himself. Olise also continued his lively form in April by setting up a goal both at Freiburg (3-2) and in the CL quarter-final in Madrid (2-1).
Olise secured 44.5 per cent of all votes cast in the Player of the Month poll, finishing well ahead of fellow attackers Harry Kane (16.1%) and Serge Gnabry (7%). Olise's third win in the monthly poll meant he drew level with Kane in the overall rankings for the current season. Bayern fans previously voted Olise as Player of the Month in August 2025 and January 2026.
Kane also bagged another award:
In March, Michael Olise scored two goals and provided an assist in the Champions League, showcasing his skills as a playmaker.
Olise was rested against Borussia Mönchengladbach and suspended for the match against Atalanta due to accumulating three yellow cards.
No winger in the top 5 European leagues has recorded more goals and assists this season than Michael Olise.
