Quentin Burrell has been a top target at wide receiver for the Wolverines for a long time. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Chicago native has been to Ann Arbor on a handful of occasions, including this spring, and has raved about his experiences each time he comes back. This recruitment isnāt over yet, but if predictions are any indication, Michigan is most certainly the team to beat. Earlier this week, Rivalsā Steve Wiltfong, Allen Trieu and Greg Smith ($) all placed predictions for the Wolverines to land Burrellās commitment. āMichigan has the momentum as we enter summer and Iāve entered a Rivals Prediction Machine forecast after talking to sources with knowledge of the recruitment,ā Wiltfong wrote. āColleagues Allen Trieu and Greg Smith have done the same based on their intel. Arizona State, Missouri and Notre Dame round out the final four.ā Burrell has official visits lined up for the summer, so itās unclear if he will make a decision before or after those visits. Regardless, the Wolverines having the lead here going into official visits is great news. Hopefully Michigan can seal the deal when heās on campus the weekend of June 19.
Experts from Rivals have predicted that Quentin Burrell will commit to Michigan, indicating they are the frontrunners in his recruitment.
Arizona State, Missouri, and Notre Dame are the other schools in contention for Quentin Burrell's commitment alongside Michigan.
Michigan's recent commitments, including 2027 four-star offensive lineman Jakari Lipsey, indicate a strong recruiting momentum for the Wolverines as they build their roster.
In addition to Quentin Burrell, Michigan is also targeting four-star edge rusher Jayce Brewer and three-star offensive lineman Louis Esposito.

The Wolverines are hoping to get more commitments soon, and the next one very well could be 2027 four-star edge rusher Jayce Brewer. He is considering Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn and Purdue, but it appears the Wolverines may be the team to beat in this recruitment. Earlier this week, Rivalsā Steve Wiltfong ($) and On3ās Ethan McDowell both put in predictions for the 6-foot-5, 225-pounder to commit to the Wolverines. The Michigan Insiderās Brice Marich followed up with a prediction of his own a day later. This development comes shortly after taking a visit for Michiganās spring game last month. Michiganās history with defensive linemen is something that has stood out to Brewer during his recruitment. āI would say the history of great defensive linemen they have produced and relationships that have been built with coaches,ā he said of what stands out to him about Michigan. Brewer would be the second edge rusher to commit to Michigan in this class if he decides to do so, along with four-star Recarder Kitchen.
2027 three-star offensive lineman Louis Esposito, the son of former Michigan defensive line coach Lou Esposito, committed to Michigan last July. Since then, Michigan has completely changed the coaching staff, and his dad left for a job with the Baltimore Ravens. The younger Esposito is making sure he has considered all his options. He took trips to Notre Dame and Iowa recently to check out what those schools have to offer. āI never got the opportunity to take other visits,ā Esposito told On3ās McDowell ($). āMichigan was kind of the only place I knew, and it was good to compare Michigan to those other schools.ā Other schools that are showing significant interest include Penn State and USC. Despite the shopping around, Esposito still seems to be locked in on Michigan. āIām feeling great,ā he said.Ā āI liked getting the opportunity to see new offenseā¦It was good to just see all the guys again. I hang out with a lot of those guys, I know those guys, so it was good to see them get on the field finally.ā Esposito has also been working hard to recruit guys to Michigan. āYou really canāt beat it,ā Esposito said. āItās a great area, a great college town, itās awesome.ā While Esposito might be taking visits to other schools, it doesnāt sound like losing his commitment is a big concern at this point.
