Michigan kicker Dominic Zvada has signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent after a mixed college career. He previously played at Arkansas State before transferring to Michigan, where he had a standout 2024 season but struggled in 2025.
For a time, it had looked like Michigan football kicker Dominic Zvada was going to follow in Jake Moody's footsteps, not only being a drafted placekicker, but one that could have gone as highly as he had (third round). After a stellar 2024 season, where Zvada was perhaps the Wolverines' lone bright spot (his leg helped propel Michigan past Ohio State and Alabama), he got a case of the yips in 2025.
After going 21-for-22 and making every kick under the sun -- long or short -- Zvada took a big step back this past season, making just 17-for-25 of his kicks, missing several that appeared to be well within range. There was one that really counted, however -- a walk-off game-winner against Northwestern at Wrigley Field -- that cemented that he can really do the job.
Though he didn't get the phone call indicating he was being drafted, he did find a new home, having signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants.
Zvada originally got his start at Arkansas State before ultimately transferring to Michigan before the 2024 season. With the Giants, he will pair with former Wolverines offensive lineman Jon Runyan Jr.
