The resumption of the Michigan State vs. Notre Dame rivalry after a dormant decade will be a primetime affair to celebrate one of the greatest games in college football history.
The Spartans and Fighting Irish will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 in South Bend, Indiana. The game will be televised on NBC and Peacock.
This will be the first meeting between the two programs since Sept. 23, 2017, a 38-18 Notre Dame victory at Spartan Stadium. The last time they played at Notre Dame Stadium, on Sept. 17, 2016, MSU won, 36-28.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the legendary 10-10 tie between the two programs to close the 1966 season in East Lansing. The Irish were ranked No. 1 and the Spartans were No. 2, and it has been considered one of the best games of the 20th Century.
Notre Dame holds a 49–29–1 lead and is 29-14 at home in the all-time series, which began in 1897 and includes vacated victories for the Irish in 2012 and 2013. The two programs played 36 consecutive seasons from 1959-94 until a two-year interruption in 1995 and 1996, then played 17 straight seasons from 1997-2013 before another two-year break in 2014 and 2015.
MSU also will host Notre Dame on Sept. 18, 2027.
The game is scheduled for September 19 at 7:30 p.m.
The 1966 game ended in a 10-10 tie and is considered one of the greatest games in college football history.
The game will be televised on NBC and Peacock.
