Juliann Woodard, a forward from Michigan State women's basketball, is transferring to High Point University. She aims for a more significant role in the offense after limited minutes at MSU.
We are fully in the midst of transfer portal season for college basketball, with players moving around constantly at this point. One important departure for MSU women's basketball this past month was the decision of Juliann Woodard to transfer out of the program. Woodard is a strong shooter who played limited minutes this part year, and she will head to the Big South, committing to transfer to High Point.
This is a pretty logical move for Woodard, who will go to one of the better mid-major programs in women's college basketball, where she will presumably have a big role on the offense. Heading into her junior year, Woodard was still fighting for a regular role in the rotation at MSU but will likely be heavily featured at High Point.
High Point won the Big South Conference this year and made the NCAA Tournament. The news of Woodard's transfer was first reported by Talia Goodman of On3.
