
Midland High softball team clinched the District 2-6A title for the first time in five years with a 10-1 victory over Frenship. The team is currently on a 16-game winning streak, boasting a record of 30-3 overall and 8-0 in district play.
MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Midland High softball team won the District 2-6A title for the first time in five years, after a dominating 10-1 win over Frenship at home.
The Lady Dawgs put up seven runs in the third inning alone, and the defense only surrendered one run on three hits. Western Texas commit Malyah Carrillo had a complete game with six strikeouts.
The purple and gold are now on a 16-game winning streak, sitting at 30-3 overall and 8-0 in district play. Midland hits the road on Friday to take on Odessa for the regular season finale.
