Mike Vrabel responded minimally to Adam Schefter's report about A.J. Brown potentially being traded to the Patriots. The deal discussions are ongoing, with a decision expected after June 1 to avoid a significant cap hit for the Eagles.

Mike Vrabel didn't have much of a reaction to Adam Schefter's recent report that star wide receiver A.J. Brown being traded to the New England Patriots was "still on the table."
According to Schefter, the Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles have "discussed a deal," but the two sides are waiting until June 1, when the Eagles can split the accelerated money left on Brown's deal and avoid a $40 million dead cap hit.
"I don't know what Adam Schefter said," Vrabel said on Tuesday, via Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller. "I think we're going to continue to try and strengthen our team."
It was a similar response that we've heard from both Vrabel and Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf this offseason. They have not confirmed nor denied that a move for Brown is in the works, despite being asked the question multiple times.
Vrabel was also asked if the Brown report would change the team's approach to the 2026 NFL Draft.
"We're gonna approach every frat with the same mentality and that's get the right players in the right spot to be able to draft the best player available," said Vrabel.
There have been expectations that the Patriots wouldn't be so high on selecting a wide receiver early if Brown is indeed headed to New England.
Perhaps it will give the team a chance to prioritize other areas of need, such as offensive tackle, edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and tight end. Brown joining the Patriots would be a major domino to fall, but the team still has plenty of work left in building a championship-caliber roster.
Mike Vrabel stated he was unaware of Adam Schefter's report and emphasized the team's focus on strengthening their roster.
The Eagles are discussing a trade to avoid a $40 million dead cap hit, which can be mitigated after June 1.
If the trade goes through, it could significantly enhance the Patriots' receiving corps and impact their offensive strategy.
