Milan and Pulisic at a standstill in contract talks as goal drought continues
Friday’s reports claim that Milan and Christian Pulisic are at a complete standstill in talks over a potential new contract as the USMNT star’s worrying drought of goals continues.
Pulisic is under contract with Milan until the summer of 2027, which means that he will be entering the final year of his deal this summer. The club retain an option to extend that agreement by a further 12 months, until the summer of 2028.
Despite the fact that Pulisic’s contract is winding down, Milan seem to be in no immediate hurry to offer him a new deal, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, ‘neither the club nor the player’s agent are pushing to see each other again’ any time soon.

That is partly due to a worrying goal drought: Pulisic is without a goal for club or country in 2026, and if he doesn’t find the net against Juventus in Serie A this weekend, it will have been more than four months since he last scored. That is despite the fact that he had eight goals to his name before the new year.
On the other hand, Friday’s reports claim that Pulisic still has potential options on the transfer market, particularly in the Premier League.
It remains to be seen what happens with Milan and Pulisic in the medium to long term, but Friday’s reports indicate that the USMNT star is no longer untouchable and that a sale might be considered if an appropriate offer were to come in.
