*Welcome to the latest edition of Missed Fists where we shine a light on fights from across the globe that may have been overlooked in these hectic times where it seems like there’s an MMA show every other day.* Fans are often divided when it comes to what kind of damage fighters should be allowed to dish out on the mat. As it stands, there are plenty of limitations to allow grapplers and wrestlers to do their thing, most importantly not allowing knees or kicks to the head of a grounded opponent. The rules waters can be difficult for fighters to navigate, not to mention the officials who have to make split-second decisions in a business defined by chaos. Our first clip of this week, though? Pretty clear-cut case of “wtf are you doing, bro?” (Big thanks as always to @Barrelelapierna for their weekly lists of the best KOs, and to @Grabaka\_Hitman for uploading many of the clips you see here. Give them a follow and chip in on Patreon if you can.) **Wendel Almeida vs. Jefferson Andre** **Lucas Ananias vs. Leonardo Willians** **Tadd Ilgas vs. Lucas Tupi** **Reidney de Oliveira vs. Yarlei Junior** **Myllena Messias vs. Fernanda Guersone** Jefferson Andre, my dude… come on, man.

— caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 18, 2026 In the main event of Shoot Brasil 136 in Rio de Janeiro, Andre completely lost his cool and just started rifling elbows into the back of opponent Wendel Almeida’s head. Keep in mind, this was a meaningful fight with a vacant lightweight title on the line. The first few elbows Andre threw weren’t close to being legal, so it’s no surprise that this bout was stopped shortly after with Almeida being awarded the disqualification victory and a shiny belt to take home for his troubles. It’s a shame the evening was capped off by such an anticlimax because there was some hellacious action earlier on the card. Check out these two comeback wins, courtesy of Lucas Ananias and Tadd Ilgas. Incredible comeback guillotine by Lucas Ananias against Leonardo Willians. That fight was close to being stopped. — caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 18, 2026 Amazing back and forth war between Tadd Ilgas and Lucas Tupi. Ilgas picks himself off the canvas in R1 and storms back for the 2nd round TKO. Living up to the Psycho nickname #ShootoBrasil136pic.twitter.com/KhrGfORCT0

— caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 18, 2026 Ananias showed off how to properly fight on the ground, managing to stay just busy enough to prevent the referee from stepping in for the stoppage and buy himself time to recover and flip the script with a great guillotine choke. As for Ilgas, he just outlasted and outwilled Lucas Tupi to score a hard-earned second-round knockout. There would be no comeback for Fernanda Guersone. Myllena Messias brutally knocks out Fernanda Guersone to close the Shooto prelims. She was out on her feet for a while. Messias improves to 8-3.#ShootoBrasil136pic.twitter.com/hjRtMXqkA8

— caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 17, 2026 Somehow, Guersone stayed on her feet even as Myllena Messias crashed into her with punch after punch. Her legs may have held steady, but her consciousness exited the cage a while ago. Messias turned her into a human heavy bag. Shooto Brasil 136 is available for replay on UFC Fight Pass. **Azeyah Boyd vs. Jason Wolf** From a National Fighting Championship event in Alpharetta, Ga. View this post on Instagram That knockout reminds me of that classic *Happy Gilmore* scene where Adam Sandler gets frustrated after a putt rolls just short of the hole. *Just tap it in… tap tap tap-a-roo…* Here, we have Azeyah Boyd flicking out a few range-finder kicks before hammering Jason Wolf with a head shot. *Tap… tap… HEAD KICK.* Boyd and Wolf actually commented on the posted highlight, so let’s give the last word here: Wolf: “I have no idea what I was doing. Very nice placement. I stayed on the center line and paid the price. It was an honor to be able [to] compete in this sport.” Boyd: “[You’re] a beast Jason, much respect, and it was an honor to have an amazing battle with you.” **Oscar Jurado Sanchez vs. Yermakhan Oryntaev** **Canon Swanson vs. Quintin Richards** Let’s keep the kicks coming. MY GOD. 15 second head kick KO by Oscar Jurado Sanchez #LFA231pic.twitter.com/lyp0G29l1C

— caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 17, 2026 At an LFA event in Prior Lake, Minn., Oscar Jurado Sanchez needed just 15 seconds to catch Yermakhan Oryntaev and walk off his win in style. Sanchez didn’t even need to load that up, flicked it out like one would a jab. The results speak for themselves. Canon Swanson aimed lower, but was no less effective, crushing Quintin Richards’ insides with a body kick a little over two minutes into Round 1. Canon Swanson (6-1-1) dispatches Quintin Richards with a perfect liver kick in the first round. That's the third KO stemming from a body kick on this card. #LFApic.twitter.com/VDIPYDPvs7

— caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 18, 2026 **Bryan Moreira vs. Junior Ferreira** And now, a lovely display of swangin’ and bangin’ from a Master Fighting Championship event in Canoas, Brazil. Crushing right hand by Bryan Moreira to KO Junior Lobão. That was a bad one. #MFC5pic.twitter.com/ahe6YNbVHI

— caposa (@Grabaka\_Hitman) April 19, 2026 Bryan Moreira wasn’t leaving without a knockout, that’s for sure. **Daniel Wadieh vs. Alex Junior Kamgang** **Alphonse Daudet vs. Cheick Kabore** The finishes were no less furious at the IMMAF 2026 African Championships in Luanda, Angola, amateur designation be damned. Daniel Wadieh beautifully ducked an incoming punch coming out of a clinch and returned fire with a head kick that left Alex Junior Kamgang slumped against the fence. View this post on Instagram That was a bad area to be in in the cage, apparently, as Cheick Kabore suffered a similar fate. Alphonse Daudet is a savage! 🇨🇬#2026MMAAfrica | pic.twitter.com/BHeNExUfKR

— IMMAF (@IMMAFed) April 18, 2026 It wasn’t pretty, but Daudet got the better of a wild exchange to leave Kabore in a classic stanky leg position. Lastly, a quick update from last week’s Missed Fists, in which I wrote about Elismar Lima seemingly getting screwed by an overenthusiastic referee. After his bout was stopped due to submission, Lima immediately protested the stoppage and apparently the promotion listened as the bout has been overturned to a no-contest due to referee error, according to Sherdog.com’s Jay Pettry. So, all’s well that ends well.
