âThe MLB app appears to have erroneously trapped me in some kind of torture chamber meant for a blue jays fan because every time I open the scores tab it shows me the score for game 7 of the last World Series,â said the user, who, you can probably guess based on their username, is a Cleveland Guardians fan.
That initial post from April 16 gained popularity on Sunday when @guardsmaxxing circled back to ask âseriously does anyone know how to fix this.â
If youâre a Dodgers fan, youâre probably thrilled to be reminded of the Game 7 victory each day.
But if youâre a Blue Jays fan â or would prefer more recent scores â thereâs an easy fix, @guardsmaxxing said.
Someone proposed the classic fix: deleting and reinstalling the app.
âI did that like right after I tweeted this and it worked,â @guardsmaxxing wrote.
Even as the 2026 season is fully underway and meaningful baseball is being played again, itâs hard to overstate how important that Game 7 continues to be.
Even if the Dodgers fail to three-peat this season, winning back-to-back World Series is an amazing accomplishment.
And winning the second one off an unlikely tying home run from Miguel Rojas in the ninth inning and another home run from Will Smith in the 11th inning led to what many believe to be the greatest game ever played.
And thatâs not even counting the heroics of World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto or the greatness in earlier games from Will Klein and Freddie Freeman, among many others.
