Boston Red Sox fans might not want to get their hopes up about landing Mike Trout this summer.
Local radio host Michael Felger claimed a source told him not tobe surprised if the Red Sox acquired Trout from the Los Angeles Angels. However, another insider suggested the blockbuster remains highly improbable.
Bleacher Report's Jon Heyman declared Wednesday that there's only about a 5 percent chance the Angels trade Trout before the Aug. 3 deadline.
Heyman believes Angels owner Arte Moreno loves Trout and would like the three-time MVP to finish his career there. Furthermore, Heyman isn't sure the 34-year-old would waive his no-trade clause.
"I am pretty doubtful that he'd go, so that's why I'm gonna put a low number on it," Heyman said. "I wouldn't rule it out."
The Red Sox wouldn't necessarily be the top destination either. Heyman called it possible that Trout, who is from southern New Jersey, would accept a move to the .
