Boston sports radio host Mike Felger stirred up some drama this week by floating a rumor that the Boston Red Sox might be interested in trading for Mike Trout this season.
Regardless of whether acquiring Trout would be a good idea for the Red Sox, several MLB insiders have already deemed that scenario extremely, including Jon Heyman.
On Thursday's episode of "Foul Territory," Scott Braun explained why Trout getting dealt to Boston is a pipe dream.
"Mike Trout has a no-trade clause," Braun said. "For anyone that's covered Mike Trout, and I have a lot and spoken to him quite often... That's not a team he's going to approve. I can say that pretty strongly... Mike Trout is not going to approve a trade to Boston... Knowing Trout, that is not the environment he wants... Trout wants none of that."

Fellow MLB insider Ken Rosenthal agreed, adding that the three-time AL MVP hasn't expressed interest in being traded and wants to stay with the Los Angeles Angels.
"We can talk all we want, and we will, but this is a dead issue for now," Rosenthal added.
If Trout did decide to leave the Angels and approve a trade, it would likely be to a more stable organization with a more talented roster and a more recent track record of success, such as the Los Angeles Dodgers or New York Yankees. Unfortunately, going to Boston isn't what he's looking for right now.
