Maryland softball secured its second consecutive Big Ten series victory, winning against Michigan State after a tough season. The Terps finished with a 19-29 overall record and will host the Big Ten tournament from May 6-9.

Facing Illinois at home from Apr. 17-19, the Terps were able to take the Friday and Sunday games 5-1 and 8-1, respectively. The Terps finished the season with a 19-29 record overall and a 5-19 record in Big Ten play. They placed 15th of 17 teams in the conference, in front of Illinois and Michigan State. Two weeks ago, the Terps were just 1-17 in conference — the late-season turnaround could prove beneficial for the group moving forward. This is the first time that Maryland has won back-to-back Big Ten series since 2022. While it won’t play, Maryland will host the Big Ten tournament from May 6-9 in College Park. Those game will be available to watch on the Big Ten Network and Big Ten Plus.
