And now according to a report in A Spor in Turkey Salah has given a YES to Fenerbahce over a mammoth contract deal.

The Turkish giants are preparing for groundbreaking elections in the coming weeks - but that has not deterred them from making a pitch to Salah for next season.

The report claims that Fenerbahce will come VERY close to matching Salah’s current £400k per week salary at Liverpool. He will be paid €20m a year - around £333k per week - over the course of a three-year contract.

Given Salah is about to turn 34 it is sure to be an enticing offer. The reason is that the two-time African footballer of the year still believes he can do it at the highest level - with the report adding that he wants to stay in Europe for now.

“The yellow-blue club's management offered the star player a three-year contract worth 20 million euros per year,” the report reads.

“The total value of the offer, reaching 60 million euros, is described as one of the largest salary packages in the history of Turkish football.
