Three hits from Trevor Ames — including a home run — and two hits apiece from Logan Rosenthal, Dalton York and Parker Fitch helped the Spartans (16-1) to a road win against the Panthers (5-8) in Illini Prairie Conference play, with Ames striking out five batters in four innings on the mound to help the winning cause. Dylan Vance hit a double for PBL.

Dane Eisenmenger and Ryan Cunningham both hit home runs for the Rockets (13-2) in an IPC home win against Prairie Central (6-7), with Tre Hoggard driving in two runs with three hits and Jordan Harmon adding a single to contribute at the plate. Hoggard also added eight strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings on the mound.
Villa Grove 12, Blue Ridge 3. Two hits apiece from Max Wilson and Jackson Smith set the tone for the Blue Devils (3-8) in a dominant LPC win against the Knights, with a four-run first inning and five-run fifth inning providing plenty of insurance to support five innings of six-strikeout work from Max Wilson.

Lilly Kingdon tied a Watseka record with 18 strikouts in seven innings of pitching work, which enabled the host Warriors (10-4) to take down the Trojans (7-13) in a VVC game. Noelle Schroeder had a home run among two hits for the Warriors, who also received two hits from Aspen Eades, Christa Holohan, Ainsley Urban and Emma Klopp. Kayln Hayes and Chesney Franzen each had hits for Armstrong.
Westville 5, Iroquois West 0. Peyton Sabalaskey hit a solo home run for the Tigers (14-2) during a decisive VVC home win against the Raiders (5-8), with Daylin Zaayer adding a double and Taylor Valangeon striking out eight batters in seven innings of work in the circle to lock up the win. Kyla Dewitt led the Raiders with two singles.
