Monster Jam will attempt to break the world record for the fastest speed in a Monster Truck during qualifying for the Indianapolis 500. The record-breaking attempt of 102 mph will take place May 15-17 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Monster Jam driver Camden Murphy will be in the truck for the event. Murphy, known as "Monster Jam Cam," has driven Monster Jam trucks since 2017.
"I am so pumped and honored to have the opportunity to break the world record of speed in a Monster Jam truck here coming up," Murphy said in a promotional video. "It is going to be so cool, so fitting for me with my racing background. So, let's go break that record."
Joe Sylvester holds the world record speed in a monster truck at 101.84 mph. Sylvester accomplished this Aug. 6, 2022, in Norwalk, Ohio.
