The Phoenix area will host more major boxing, wrestling, MMA, and rodeo events through a new partnership. TKO Group Holdings has signed a three-year agreement to bring seven events to Arizona.

More major boxing, wrestling, MMA, rodeo headed to Phoenix area
Already one of the top destinations for major live boxing, professional wrestling and Professional Bull Riders rodeo, the Phoenix area is set to host more of those, plus UFC mixed martial arts events through a partnership announced on Tuesday, May 12.
TKO Group Holdings, with ownership of UFC, WWE and PBR and managing partner of Zuffa Boxing, has a seven-event-in-three-years agreement with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance to stage a series of premier sports and entertainment events in Arizona involving those entities.
The deal will feature some of TKO’s most high-profile live events.
“We’re excited to build this long-term partnership with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance to bring some of our biggest events to the state," Peter Dropick, a TKO executive vice president, said in a statement announcing the agreement. “We look forward to creating unforgettable moments for fans across the region over the next three years.”

The Phoenix area will host major boxing, professional wrestling, MMA, and rodeo events.
TKO Group Holdings owns UFC, WWE, and PBR, and they are partnering with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance to bring these events to Arizona.
The agreement includes seven events over the next three years.
The partnership was announced on May 12.

The Arizona Sports & Events Alliance was a major force in putting on recent events in the Phoenix area, such as this year's Women's Final Four, the 2025 SheBelieves Cup featuring the U.S. women's national soccer team and the WNBA All-Star Game in 2024.
The NBA All-Star Game returns to Phoenix in 2027.
“Arizona has proven time and again that we are built to host the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and we are proud to join forces with TKO on this multi-year partnership,” said Jay Parry, the president & CEO of the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance.

WWE already holds multiple events in the Phoenix area each year, and other wrestling outfits such as TNA and AEW have held major shows in town.
Boxing has found a consistent home in Phoenix, led mostly by Matchroom and Top Rank. Those two promotion companies are facing competition from Zuffa, run by UFC president and CEO Dana White, and WWE president & TKO board member Nick Khan.
Zuffa is stirring up controversy in the boxing community as it aims to change the way the sport is promoted and how fighters are paid.
PBR has a team based in Arizona, the Ridge Riders, and will hold Ridge Rider Days in October at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.
UFC hasn't been to Phoenix since May 2022, but brought events to town for three consecutive years from 2017-19 and also to Glendale in 2021.
