While the 2025 edition of the IPL saw a mind-boggling 1,294 sixes being hit over 73 fixtures, the 2026 campaign is already threatening that record despite only being halfway through.
What's exciting is that Indian cricketers are at the forefront of the six-hitting carnage, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi leading the charge.
In just nine games, he has managed to hit 37 sixes and accumulate 400 runs. He recently made headlines by hitting a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in just 36 deliveries.
During that incredible performance, he smashed 12 sixes,  breaking the domestic record previously held by Murali Vijay.

He is chasing the legendary figures of the league, such as Chris Gayle and Andre Russell, who cleared the boundary over 50 times in a season.
