Michigan State basketball star point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. has received an invitation to the NBA Combine.
The list of 73 prospects invited to the NBA Combine was released last week and Fears was the lone Spartan included. Fears is currently in the process of testing the NBA Draft waters to get an evaluation and see where he'd possibly land if he were to leave school early for the NBA.
The NBA Combine will be held from May 10 to May 17 in Chicago.
Fears had a breakout season in 2025-26, finishing the season averaging 15.2 points and 9.4 assists per game. He was the most important player on the Spartans' roster and helped lead Michigan State to a second straight Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
The expectation is that Fears will ultimately return to Michigan State for another season leading the Spartans. But, getting the invitation to the NBA Combine certainly is a positive sign for Fears' draft stock and could further open the door for him turning pro. I personally still think he'll be back at Michigan State next year, but this is still something we need to continue to monitor moving forward.
