Four-star safety recruit Semaj Stanford has committed to the Oregon Ducks. Stanford is an extremely talented safety in the 2027 cycle that had been on the Georgia Bulldogsâ radar prior to his commitment.
At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Stanford chose Oregon over both Texas and Georgia, as the Bulldogs remained as a top option until Stanford's final decision. An Oklahoma native, Stanford flashed potential on numerous occasions at Broken Arrow High School, but coach Kirby Smart and his staff are forced to look elsewhere following the safetyâs commitment to Oregon.
Stanford is ranked as the No. 3 safety and the No. 58 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Rankings. He is ranked as the No. 4 overall player out of Oklahoma, as Stanford has ultimately decided to play for the Ducks during his freshman campaign in 2027.

Georgia has targeted some of the top overall talent from the class of 2027 despite missing out on Stanford. The Bulldogs are currently trying to flip Texas commit Karnell âGreedyâ James, while Georgia has submitted an offer for 2028 quarterback Kaden Craft as well.

Before his commitment to Oregon, Semaj Stanford was also considering Texas and Georgia.
Semaj Stanford stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 190 pounds.
