Some might raise an eyebrow at Vince Carter representing the Nets as a team legend. However, among the eight teams he played for during his Hall of Fame career, his second-longest stint was with the Nets, who were located in New Jersey during his five seasons with the team.
Carter also averaged 23.6 points per game in New Jersey, just higher than the 23.4 he averaged for the Toronto Raptors.
Other former greats representing their teams include Rolando Blackman, who played 11 of his 13 NBA seasons with the Mavericks. His 16,643 points are the second-most in team history and his career average of 19.2 points per game ranks ninth. John Wall played nine of his 11 seasons with the Washington Wizards. He ranks fourth in franchise history with 10,879 points.
Though he has a front-office title with the Heat,Alonzo Mourning could be considered a team legend. He played 11 of his 15 NBA seasons in two stints with the team and his 9,459 points rank third in team history.
And for those wondering or don’t remember her representing the Bucks at the 2014 Draft Lottery, Mallory Edens is the daughter of team co-owner Wes Edens. Milwaukee won the No. 2 overall selection that year and picked Duke forward Jabari Parker.
