"White will turn 32 this summer and is having a rough season shooting the ball (48.7 percent on twos, 32.7 percent on threes)," Swartz wrote on Wednesday. "Payton Pritchard proved he can be a full-time starter, making a White trade more digestible for the Celtics. We already saw them move on from another veteran guard in Jrue Holiday last offseason."
The 6-foot-4 guard has spent five seasons with the Celtics, playing a pivotal role in making them the top team in the Eastern Conference.
