In the NCAA Tournament, he averaged 7.7 points per game and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. The Bursa, Türkiye native, penned a letter to Husker fans and expressed his gratitude for the last two seasons.
These past two years at Nebraska have been nothing short of life-changing but the time has come for a new chapter. I'm beyond thankful to Coach Hoiberg — not only an exceptional coach, but one of the best human beings I've had the privilege to learn from — along with our entire staff, my teammates and our incredible fans.
The culture and the people within this program are truly one of a kind. What we built here will stay with me far beyond basketball. Making NCAA history together and fighting our way to the Sweet 16 wasn't just an achievement; it was the result of a real brotherhood. Competing shoulder-to-shoulder with this incredible group has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I will carry the spirit of this team and the memories we created with me forever.
Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for everything, Nebraska! GO BIG RED!
