1. FC Heidenheim are backing up their words with actions and doing everything they can to still avoid the looming relegation from the Bundesliga, which many already see as certain.

In the match against the already-crowned champions and Champions League semi-finalists from Munich at the Allianz Arena, they are looking to continue the comeback they started in recent weeks - an impossible task for the team at the bottom of the table? Apparently not at all!

In fact, Frank Schmidt’s team are currently taking the next step toward a miracle.

At one point, the club many had already written off was deservedly leading 2-0 away to the German record champions.

In the 22nd minute, it was - of course - Budu Zivzivadze who reacted quickest after a deflected corner and hit the ball on the volley from close range toward goal. It bounced in off the inside of the post to Heidenheim’s delight.

After that, the seemingly all-powerful Bayern looked completely rattled, allowing Eren Dinkci to make it 2-0 for his side just under ten minutes later after a long ball.

Shortly before half-time, however, Leon Goretzka gave Munich a sign of life and pulled one back to make it 2-1 at the break with a pretty spectacular goal.

What is clear, though, is that Heidenheim remain firmly on the much-talked-about miracle path, while Bayern seem to be wobbling after that crazy first leg of the Champions League semi-final in midweek. But one thing is also clear: just last week, Kompany’s team came back from 3-0 down at half-time against Mainz 05 and still won in the end. And things do not look quite as grim right now as they did last weekend.
